A quick and effective way to create a collage from several photos on your iPhone is to use Apple’s Keynote app. You might be familiar with using Keynote for presentations, but it’s also good for making collages. Keynote offers up to 100 different templates, though around half of these are only available via the Creator Studio subscription. The paid templates are signified by a small five-petalled flower in the top right-hand corner of the template.
Before you choose one of the slides for your photo collage, make sure that Keynote is displaying the slides in the standard 4:3 aspect ratio. The 16:9 aspect ratio option is too elongated for most screens on which you’ll want to display your collage.
How to create a photo collage with Keynote- Open the Keynote app and create a new presentation by tapping on one of the templates. We recommend the “Photography Bold” “Photo Essay,” or “Scrapbook Dark” templates.
- In the blank presentation, tap the rectangle with the plus sign in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
- The app will now suggest slide templates. There are options featuring two vertical photos, three photos side by side, and a single photo with a caption. For most purposes, such as social media posts, three photos on a single slide are sufficient; more than five are too small and cluttered for quick viewing.
