Q: For years, checking my credit card balance was practically a daily ritual, partly a habit, but also due to panic. I watched the balance barely move for about three years. Lately, though, I hardly check it at all. I tap for coffee, groceries, and whatever else I need without giving much thought to the number on the screen. I still make every payment on time, so nothing looks alarming on paper, but I’m worried. I used to feel anxious about the debt, and now I barely feel anything.
