Today, the winner of the international tender fir the construction of a new stadium and surrounding sports complex in Zagreb was revealed. This is the first place.
The tender results have caused a lot of controversy in Zagreb; a lot of people, the majority in fact, seem to be disillusioned by the stadium's archiecture, calling it a "monument to communism", a "cardboard box" etc. The main concerns are separated stands and the voids in the corners which could let wind inside.
I think the stadium is interesting, as someone with no formal education on the subject. What do you people think? Is this architecturally interesting, worthy of being a European capital's main stadium? Please share your opinions!
