Could all introverts raise their hand? Yeah, better not.

Most people out there don't really get us introverts. They think we're impolite or arrogant, and that maybe we should smile more often. But actually, we're none of those things: we're just people with a very rich internal world who don't really need that much company to stay entertained. And no, we don't need to smile more often. We smile enough as it is.

Humans are social beings, unfortunately, which means we actually need contact with other people to survive and live in society. It's not like we're thrilled about it, but we understand it, and we accept it. We do go out of our houses from time to time, and we try to make friends. Granted, most of the time we don't succeed at that, but that's where our extroverted friends come in! Because of some cosmic coincidence of the universe, one day they found us, liked us, adopted us, and introduced us to all of their friends! We found our human support net, for better or for worse, and since we're stuck with them forever, we do socialize even more than we would like. Which, for us, means twice a month tops.

What no one seems to think about is that introverts eventually grow up, become adults, and have to go out and fend for themselves in the world. Don't worry, we're introverts, not aliens. We know how social rules work; we just don't like them very much. We would rather spend 3 hours in the same office with someone in silence than make small talk. Seriously, what is it with people always trying to fill in the silence? What did silence ever do to you? We will never understand the nearly pathological need some people have to talk all the time. Then the commentary begins: "You don't talk much, do you?" "No, Karen, I don't talk much because I have nothing to say to you." But we can't answer like that- social rules, remember?  We're not shy; we're selective about the people we choose to talk to, but it seems like no one ever gets that.

Anyway, introverted people are not from another planet. We just enjoy different activities and have a minor tolerance for noise and annoying humans. When we want to be, we can be quite talkative and funny, but it's not something that happens every day. What does happen every day is that we want to laugh and have a bit of fun, so here we have a list of memes for that! If you're an introvert, you can browse through it alone in your room. If you're not, feel free to send your favourite memes to your closest introvert!
