“Igbos Are Nice People” – First Lady Remi Tinubu Woos South East As She Launches Food Bank In Anambra

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has spoken warmly about her personal experiences with Igbo people during her visit to Anambra State.

Speaking today at the launch of the National Community Food Bank in the South-East, the First Lady recalled how many of her close friends and classmates throughout her school years were Igbo.

“Igbos are very nice people. My best friend in secondary school was an Igbo girl. In high school and tertiary institution, they were all Igbo because they said I look like an Igbo girl.”

Her remarks drew attention as she highlighted the bonds and friendships she formed with people from the South-East while growing up.

The First Lady was in Anambra as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen food support and community welfare through the National Community Food Bank initiative.
