Bonnethead sharks have shown remarkable skills in using Earth's magnetic field for navigation. In controlled laboratory experiments, these young sharks were tested by manipulating magnetic environments. When exposed to southern magnetic fields, they successfully oriented themselves toward their original capture spot. This discovery implies that sharks might use magnetic fields as a navigational tool. Future studies will be essential to unravel how these creatures manage and utilize this magnetic data.
