The two-match unofficial Test series starts from September 22, with the second encounter set to begin on September 29, with both the games to be played at the Cricket Association Pondicherry Siechem Ground. All the days are scheduled to start at 9:30am local time (5am UK time). 

Devdutt Padikkal, who has been in blistering form, will lead the India A side in the two four-day matches. Sai Sudharsan will serve as Padikkal’s deputy. 

Padikkal scored hundreds in each of the two Tests against Sri Lanka recently, and also registered a confident 62 in the Duleep Trophy final. Sudharsan, who missed the Sri Lanka Tests due to injury, will now have a chance to bounce back. 

Peter Handscomb has been included in the Australia A squad for the four-day fixtures after putting on a dominant display in last year's Sheffield Shield. In addition, Nathan McSweeney, who was in sublime form in the County Championship, and Sam Konstas have also been named in the squad.

Jake Weatherald, who was axed from Australia's Test side during the series against Bangladesh and also signed a County stint recently, has not made it to the squad, and is currently playing in the One-Day Cup back home.

Fans in India can live stream the India A vs Australia A unofficial Tests on the JioHotstar website and app. There is no live telecast scheduled for both the matches.
