After comfortably winning the T20I series 3-0, India will host Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series. All three matches of the series will be played at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi, in Vadodara, and are scheduled to get underway at 2pm local time (9:30am UK, 10:30am CAT).
Smriti Mandhana’s stint as India’s full-time captain started with a brilliant T20I series win, and the team would be keen to carry that form into the 50-over format. Mandhana has so far led India in four ODIs, winning all of them. India will also get their ICC Women's ODI Championship 2025/26-29 cycle underway with the Zimbabwe series.
They will miss fast bowler Renuka Singh, who has been ruled out due to injury. Jintimani Kalita has been named her replacement. Tejal Hasabnis, Yastika Bhatia, Vaishnavi Sharma, Nandani Sharma and Sayali Satghare have been included in the squad, while G Kamalini, Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Sneh Rana and Kashvee Gautam are missing from the side that toured Australia in March this year.
As for Zimbabwe, they will continue with the same squad that featured in the T20I series, which the visitors started brilliantly, having India at 19-4 in the opening game. Also fresh off an ODI win over the West Indies, Zimbabwe would be confident of putting up a better showing in the 50-over leg against India.
