It makes me so sad how hard Taika has fallen off recently. I can't cope and say Thor: Love and Thunder was just a fluke by this point, when he's made three mediocre-to-bad movies in a row. It's a pattern now.
He used to make genuinely great, authentic movies. They balanced tone way better. They were quirky but still took themselves seriously and felt more genuine. JoJo Rabbit, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Boy, What We Do in the Shadows and even Thor: Ragnarok are good movies.
His new movies feel like Disney films. What happened?
