I've read Never Let Me Go and currently reading Klara and the Sun

Tonally the two books feels very similar. Feels like its "Victorian child dying of TB" set in a nonspecific future. How do these two novels compare to his other works?

I was also fascinated to know that, while he was born in japan, he has lived in england since he was 5 and writes exclusively in English. His dialogue has a staccato tempo to it (may be at least to me) that feels very foreign.
