Kia Philippines recently announced that it has officially entered a partnership with the Philippine Tennis Academy with the goal of supporting young athletes and the Philippines’ growing prominence in the global stage of tennis.
The Philippine Tennis Academy was founded in 2011, and is a non-stock, non-profit organization. It aims to support underprivileged Filipino tennis talents by providing them opportunities to hone their skills and realize their full potential in competitions in the Philippines and abroad.

The two parties will also be working together to launch the Play it Forward Fundraising Tournament, a grassroots event aimed at developing the skills of budding tennis players. On Kia’s part, the brand will also be committing P1 million annually to support the PTA.

Kia’s funding will be used to cover various tournament fees and expenses for scholar participants, including registration, travel, and accommodation. It will also be used to support 10 selected scholars, with funding for their equipment and coaching.

Kia shares that this partnership reflects its commitment to “Movement that Inspires,” and has expressed that it will also be looking into supporting more community clinics and tournaments going forward. Ultimately, the brand’s efforts aim to “inspire the next generation of Filipino sports champions.”
