A Springbok fan who watched South Africa lose to the All Blacks at Ellis Park has put the team on blast in a viral video.

The Boks lost 33-16 in their first of four test matches in the Greatest Rivalry series

New Zealand have been on a winning streak, whilst in the country, also beating provincial clubs, the Sharks, Bulls and Stormers.

SPRINGBOKS SUPPORTER AT ELLIS PARK PUTS TEAM ON BLAST

On TikTok, a video of a Springbok supporter ranting about spending a small fortune to watch the team play – and lose to the All Blacks has gone viral.

The unidentified man told content creator @fredandrods of the experience: “Well played All Blacks. But f**k you Springboks, if you can drop us like that at Ellis Park. The All Blacks have never [dropped their fans] at Eden Park

The man added that he had paid thousands for his ticket.

He added, “Look at that crowd, they had every supporter. Number one in the world!”

TICKET PRICES FOR THE GREATEST RIVALRY

The Springboks will play their second and third test matches against the All Blacks at the DHL Stadium and FNB Stadium, respectively.

According to Ticketmaster, there are no available tickets for next week’s game in Cape Town on 29 August. However, fans can expect to pay between R1650 and R4 000 for a ticket to watch the rugby rivals on 5 September.

SA Rugby has warned the public not to bank on purchasing discounted ticket prices for Springbok home games, as was done with Ellis Park and other test matches.

A spokesperson said: “This is not a precedent for future seasons, but a response to market conditions with the sole aim of generating as much support as possible for the Springbok team”.
