We have recently purchased a house and we are struggling to figure out how to layout the living room and in particular, we are not sure on where to place the TV. (The house was built before TVs were standard.) Our initial thought is to place the TV where I put the red box, put the sofa in the middle of the room somehow, and use the back corner for a play corner for our 1 year old son. But it is hard to imagine a layout where the sofa is not in the way or the viewing angle is not very awkward. Please help! All suggestions are appreciated.
A few important notes that may be important:
- The thing that looks like a toilet on the layout is a wood burning stove. It kind of awkwardly divides the room, but we would like to keep it.
- The wall between the living and dining room is an arch and the gray part is a half wall.
- Under both windows are radiators for the full width.
- The house is in Germany and all measurements are in meters.
