This 1976 Land Rover 109 Series III was manufactured as a right-hand-drive station wagon and imported to the US in 2023. A subsequent build by E.C.D. Auto Design of Kissimmee, Florida, involved converting the truck to left-hand drive, refinishing the body in Fuji White with a Narvik Black roof, and retrimming the nine-passenger cabin in black leather. Power is provided by a 6.2-liter GM LS3 V8 mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional modifications include a Warn winch, Hella driving lights, 16″ Wolf wheels, EBC disc brakes, Fox shocks, Defender HD Performance axles, a Borla exhaust system, air conditioning, and a modern audio system. The truck was acquired by the current owner in 2025, and service in 2026 included resealing the front swivel assemblies, replacing the rear pinion seal, and servicing the air conditioning and electrical systems. This 109 Series III is now offered in Colorado on dealer consignment with a BMIHT certificate, E.C.D. build documents, service records, and a Montana title.
Finished from the factory in Marine Blue, the body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in eggshell-textured Fuji White with a Narvik Black roof and Zermatt Silver belt trim and tub caps during the 2023 E.C.D. build. The frame was treated, Raptor-lined, and protected with Waxoyl at that time. Exterior equipment includes a vented tropical roof, alpine windows, cowl vents, and a side-hinged rear cargo door. Modifications include a winch-compatible front bumper with a Warn winch, Hella auxiliary driving lights, fold-down side and rear steps, a swing-away rear cargo carrier, and rear-facing spotlights. The roof-vent pivots were repaired using roll pins in 2026, at which time the front bumper was replaced and the winch and auxiliary lights were wired.
Black 16″ Wolf wheels are mounted with 265/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and a matching spare is mounted on the hood. The truck is equipped with Fox shocks and Defender HD Performance axles. Stopping power is provided by EBC disc brakes at all four corners. Service by JC’s British & 4×4 in January 2026 included flushing the brake fluid, resealing the front swivel assemblies, cleaning and repacking the front wheel bearings, and servicing the left-rear hub with a preload correction, at which time the drive-flange gaskets were replaced.
The nine-passenger left-hand-drive cabin features a 2+3+4 seating configuration trimmed in black quilted leather that extends to the dashboard, center cubby, and door panels. A black Alcantara headliner and black carpeting with rubber floor mats are also fitted. Equipment includes air conditioning, an inboard VIAIR air compressor system, a heater, windshield defrosting attachments, manual-crank front windows, and Series-style sliding rear windows. Modern additions consist of a digital rearview mirror with a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, tire-pressure monitoring, automatic headlights, twin Kenwood subwoofers, JL Audio speakers, and a hidden single-DIN Bluetooth stereo. The air-conditioning system O-rings were replaced at the bulkhead and the system was recharged with R134a refrigerant in 2026. The battery was also replaced with an 800-CCA unit and a disconnect switch was installed under the driver’s seat.
An NRG Innovations wood-rim steering wheel fronts Classic Instruments white-faced gauges including a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles, which is said to represent the distance accumulated since completion of the build.
The 6.2-liter GM LS3 crate V8 was installed during the E.C.D. build and is equipped with a Borla stainless-steel exhaust system. The power-steering gearbox was noted to have a fluid leak during the 2026 inspection.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The Salisbury rear axle pinion seal was replaced in 2026.
A British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, service records, a Series III workshop manual, and accessories are included in the sale.
The E.C.D. Auto Design bill of sale lists a selling price of $247,960. Import documents are also included.
The title carries an “Odometer – Warn Discrepancy” brand.
