MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has temporarily suspended its P12-per-liter fuel discount for public utility jeepneys (PUJs) and UV Express units starting Friday, Sept. 18, due to the election ban for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE). In an advisory, the LTFRB said the suspension will remain in effect pending approval from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the continued implementation of the fuel discount program.
