Toronto Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect wanted in a sexual assault investigation.

Police said a woman was sexually assaulted on Aug. 27 at about 3 p.m. by an unknown male suspect while they were both on a TTC streetcar in the Queen St. W.-Peter St. area.

Cops said the victim was not physically hurt.

The suspect is 5-foot-10 with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and metal-framed sunglasses.

Suspect sought for East Gwillimbury break-ins

York Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect following a commercial break and enter in East Gwillimbury.

Cops said that on Aug. 30 between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m., an unknown male suspect arrived on an electric bicycle and broke into a business in the Leslie St.-Farr Ave. area. They said the suspect then attempted to enter several other businesses in the same plaza and was last seen going northbound on Leslie.

The suspect is male and about 5-foot-7 to 6-foot with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweater, blue jeans, white running shoes and a black satchel and was operating a distinctive high-necked electric bicycle.

New photo released of serial break-in suspect

Toronto Police released a new photo of a suspect wanted for a series of daytime break-and-enters last week.

Cops said officers responded to multiple calls for break-ins on Sept. 8 that took place in the Mount Pleasant Rd.-Eglinton Ave. E. area and the Bayview-Davisville Aves. area.

It’s alleged that a male suspect approached several unoccupied homes in the middle of the day, knocked on the doors several times before forcefully entering the homes and stealing jewelry, wine and other small objects.

On Saturday, officers responded to a call for a break-and-enter in the Danforth Ave.-Main St. area, where it’s alleged that the same male suspect approached an unoccupied home in the middle of the day, knocked on the door several times, then forcefully entered the home and stole jewelry, wine and other small objects.

The suspect is male, about 50-60 years old, bald, has a grey moustache and a tattoo on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing black-framed glasses, a red long-sleeve shirt, black pants, a gold watch and black running shoes with white soles.

Firearm seized during traffic stop

An Oshawa man is facing multiple charges after officers found a loaded firearm in his vehicle following a traffic stop in Bowmanville.

Durham Regional Police said that on Tuesday at about 3:40 p.m. officers conducted at traffic stop in the Liberty St. S.-Lake Rd. area and while speaking with the driver observed signs of impairment and made a roadside demand for a breath sample.

The driver allegedly registered a fail on a screening device and was arrested.

Police said during a search of the suspect and vehicle, officers allegedly found drugs and a loaded firearm, which were seized.

Donovan Wendt, 34, of Oshawa, faces six firearm-related charges, two charges of possession of a schedule 1 substance and one count each of novice driver above zero blood-alcohol content and failure to comply with a release order. At the time of his arrest, the accused was bound by a weapons prohibition.

Victim assaulted during Ajax vehicle theft

Durham Regional Police said a male sustained injuries after being assaulted by at least three suspects who attempted to force him into his vehicle while stealing it in Ajax on Tuesday.

Around midnight, officers responded to an armed person call in the Randall Dr.-Macey Crt. area after a male returned to his residence and was exiting his vehicle when the assault and attempting kidnapping occured. The victim was able to get away before the suspects fled in his vehicle.

The vehicle was later located unoccupied in Pickering and the victim suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects were not found.

Worker killed in industrial accident

Peel Regional Police said a male worker was killed in an industrial accident in Countryside Dr.-The Gore Rd. area of Brampton on Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m.

Cops said the man was struck by an industrial truck during road work and was pronounced deceased.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
