The Green Bay Packers' starting offense marched 66 yards in 12 plays against the Denver Broncos' first-team defense to open Friday night's preseason opener, and MarShawn Lloyd capped off the scoring drive with an 11-yard touchdown catch on third down in the red zone.

Jordan Love completed 5-of-7 passes on the opening drive, including the touchdown pass to Lloyd, who turned five touches into 19 total yards. On the scoring play, Lloyd ran a Texas route from the backfield, beat the man in coverage and burst into the end zone for six. Trey Smack added the extra point for a 7-0 lead.

The touchdown was the first of Lloyd's pro career during the preseason or regular season.

Christian Watson caught a pair of passes for 19 yards on the opening drive, which took up almost seven minutes on the first quarter clock, and Matthew Golden had a 19-yard catch converting a fourth down while also drawing a pass interference penalty. Love's passer rating on the opening drive was 134.5. Lloyd converted a 3rd-and-2 with a 2-yard run, and his touchdown catch came on 3rd-and-3 from the 11-yard line.
