Kevin Feige has indicated that the MCU still has plenty of movies ahead as Phase Six approaches its end. Marvel Studios president accepted the 2026 Pioneer of the Year honor at the Beverly Hilton on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, Feige discussed the studio’s long-term plans while addressing the studio’s upcoming slate. In his speech, shared by The Hollywood Reporter on X, the 53-year-old said, “Doomsday is only our 39th movie — we’ve still got a lot of stories to tell, a lot of movies to make.”
Feige also acknowledged the evolving challenges of making large-scale Marvel movies. He even discussed getting overwhelmed by production details and routine tasks. The Marvel Studios president said that stepping back and remembering who the movies are for reminds him why the work is worthwhile.

Secret Wars is the final film of MCU Phase Six. While the studio has several projects in development, there are currently three dated theatrical movies for Phase Seven.
The first is an untitled X-Men film, the studio’s reboot of the Fox mutant franchise. It kicks off the MCU’s Phase 7, and it already has a publicly announced cast and creative team. Marvel has scheduled the film for release on May 5, 2028.
Next is Ghost Rider, starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Shawn Levy. Announced during San Diego Comic-Con 2026, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2028.
Black Panther 3 is another film on the list that continues the Wakanda saga. The film stars David Jonsson as Prince T’Challa II, the new Black Panther, with Letitia Wright returning as Shuri. The film is scheduled to arrive on December 15, 2028.
Other reported projects include a Shang-Chi sequel and Nova, while Armor Wars remains in development.
