What kind of people are applying to this job? Or was the posting written by a bot that intended for bots to apply for it?

Have you ever looked at a job posting and wondered, "Who in their right mind would apply to such a position?" I'm talking about jobs where employees only make $45K a year in San Francisco and are expected to work around the clock. Some jobs require 10-15 years of experience and still pay only $70K in New York City. If you're a normal person who is trying to pay your bills and put some money away for retirement, these jobs probably don't sound like they're for you, and you're probably right. A lot of jobs exist for the sole purpose of employing independently wealthy young people who don't need an income from a job to pay their bills. If someone has a hefty trust fund that gives them enough money to live more than comfortably every year without having to lift a finger, then they can easily take a "fun" job that makes no money. Such positions are not limited to young rich people; they also exist for old rich people.
