Meta used Connect 2026 to confirm that Meta VR Glasses will launch in spring 2027 at an MSRP of $1,299, backed by a fresh wave of games and major updates to existing ones. Because the device runs the same operating system as Quest, every existing Quest game will be playable on it out of the gate, instantly giving the new hardware a sizeable library on day one.

A Glasses-Shaped Console

Meta is pitching the device as “a cinema, workspace, and console in one,” and the pitch leans hard on comfort. At 100 grams, Meta VR Glasses ditch the bulky headset silhouette for something closer to actual eyewear, with 2.4K micro-OLED displays and processing handled by a tethered puck running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite chipset.

The trade-off is controllers. The primary SKU doesn’t come with any included, though bundles will be available through select retail channels and the device supports Meta’s Touch Plus controllers if bought separately. For games built around hand tracking, that’s less of a problem than it sounds.

What’s Actually Launching

Beat Saber: Flux is the headline update, described as the biggest the game has ever received. It adds a full hand-tracking mode that lets players slice notes without touching a controller, launches with 35 songs, and overhauls the campaign with new progression, earnable sabers, notes, and profile badges. Controller support remains optional.

Elsewhere, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR puts players in the roles of Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes, using hand-tracking gestures to present evidence and point out lying witnesses, with voice activation picking up shouted objections. Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities turns the classic into a room-aware, controller-free puzzle experience using Meta VR Glasses’ passthrough camera and lighting effects.

Two Point Hospital VR brings the hospital sim to an advanced hand-tracking interface, while Dragon Grove launches alongside the hardware itself as a cozy, hands-only puzzle game. Story of Seasons – Your Wonderful Life, Cardmada, and Dice Throne Digital round out the announced slate, with Dice Throne Digital also offering cross-play with its mobile and PC versions.

On the update front, PAYDAY: Aces High gets an open playtest on Quest 3 and 3S starting October 19, with an exclusive in-game mask for anyone who joins. Supernatural, the fitness app Meta divested earlier this year, is relaunching under independent ownership this fall and will be a day-one title on Meta VR Glasses.

Full details on the hardware itself, including how it stacks up against rivals, are in UploadVR’s original roundup, and Meta’s own breakdown of every title is posted on the Meta blog. Meta VR Glasses ship spring 2027; Dragon Grove launches alongside them, Ace Attorney and Tetris Effect follow in 2027, and Supernatural and the PAYDAY playtest arrive this fall.
