Mitsubishi is on the cusp of revealing the next-generation Pajero to the world, but the Japanese carmaker has a much larger plan for the United States market. The Momentum 2030 roadmap was recently shared with the public, revealing a substantial product offensive for the next four years.
The teaser image above shows six vehicles, but the brand has only shared the first three. Momentum 2030 will start with the launch of the fully electric Eclipse Sportback later this year, followed by a new outdoor-themed Outlander variant scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Notably, Mitsubishi will also be re-entering the pickup market with a Nissan-based truck.

Down in Australia and New Zealand, the Mitsubishi Triton has been rebadged into the latest-version Navara, which makes this switch somewhat appropriate. Still, this Japanese franken-truck will need to throw hands with the likes of the Toyota Tacoma and other US-exclusive pickups.

It should also be noted that the incoming Pajero has not yet been confirmed for the US. There is no telling how Mitsubishi’s marquee nameplate would affect this product offensive, but it looks like the next few releases have already been locked in.

Because these vehicles are slated for the US, the chances of them reaching the Philippines are less than likely. But that the Japanese carmaker does have its own plans for our local automotive industry.
The Outlander PHEV has recently been reintroduced, once again giving Mitsubishi an electrified option in today’s market. And over the next two years, the brand’s manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna, will soon accommodate a hybrid model for local assembly.
It looks like Mitsubishi is opening new chapters for itself all over the world. However, the epicenter of these plans will be the Pajero’s launch in Japan on September 2. Watch this space for the latest updates.
