It's devastating. Brutal. Gibney knows what he's doing so it's very well-laid out. Yes, there's a lot of information in here that many people know, but also a lot of little details within those situations or aspects of his career/public life that many were likely not aware of. I mean interestingly enough, Musk's own father is interviewed for the documentary. I don't know if he thought he was propping up his son or taking him down a peg.

It's actually really well-paced and the four hours honestly fly by. I found it riveting. Some people complain that Gibney likes his doc style to have a bit of sizzle, but I like how he puts them together. In this case, the movie is framed by an AI rendering of Musk spouting his own prior quotes that kind of underscores his weird worldview of fake image-making and simulations.

Why this is vital viewing is because when you put all of this together and add it up in totality, you're left with this sense of a person that is very warped, depraved and very, very dangerous. The *idea* of Musk as unlikeable in a casual sense is easy when taken one detail at a time, sporadically, but the result of that is to maybe not fully realize that Musk isn't just bad, he's well beyond what you would call a bad person. Seeing it all together makes you realize that many people who should have known better have been asleep at the wheel here.
