When you have different parenting styles than your partner, conflict is bound to ensue.

There is no one way to parent a child. There are as many different ways to be a parent as there are stars in the sky. And each child is different and requires a different level of attention and care. Even different children within the same family. Some kids respond well to rules and routines, while others will fight against them with their last breath. And when you're raising a child with a partner, it helps to be on the same page as them about the basic stuff. This is easier said than done, though. Opposites attract, which means couples often have very different outlooks on life and ways of being than each other. So when you come together to raise a child, you hope those opposites complement each other, but they might end up repelling each other.
