Hello! I need some help designing the layout of my living room in my 1-bedroom apartment!
Notes:
I spend most of my time (when I am not on my feet) lying back, in an almost lounging position because of back issues. Because of this, I need to eat my meals on a couch or in any non-upright position.
Right now, I have a white L shaped couch, and a mini couch that is quite uncomfortable (from a past space). I am storing a mattress topper that I may give to a family member in the spring, and have been using it on top of the uncomfortable couch. This is where I have been eating my meals, and sitting most of the time because it is so comfortable. The mini couch can also come apart into two chair-like sections. Also, the stain is from when my friend spilled tea on the couch.
It would be great to be able to incorporate the mattress topper into some kind of furniture option as that would make storage easier, but this is not necessary if it will be an eyesore like it is now. Also, I don’t really want to eat on the white L shaped couch…
And now that I am thinking about it, I also have this dead space that isn’t in the living room that I could possibly utilize for something (maybe the mini couch or smth? IDK).
I have a very low budget and will be mainly buying from fb marketplace and similar sites. I am also moving in the spring!
Ideas/Needs
I have a printer that I would love to store hidden away in a piece of furniture?
I have a TV that I don’t use. I could put the TV out on display, but I am leaning towards not because a large black screen does not add anything to the vibe of the room.
In general, my style is Mid-Century Modern.
I’d love help with figuring out the layout of this space!!
