The Nepalese government said the army is digging through the thick mud that has filled a hydropower tunnel where people are believed to be trapped inside.

“The work to open the tunnel’s entrance has been intensified since early on Saturday morning,” the Nepalese prime minister’s office said in a post on Facebook.
