This movie, made by, two person, mother-and-son, cast and crew over the course of five years on architectural software (and without the use of AI) has become a cult phenomenon. Initially playing to a few hundred people in its opening week, it's now grossed millions of dollars in China. I just finished watching a bootleg (the only way to see it outside of the PRC atm), and despite the obvious technical deficiencies, I cannot say in good faith that I didn't thoroughly enjoy the experience.
