Nasarawa United technical adviser Mbwas Mangut believes his team will get better as the season progresses.

The Solid Miners laboured to a 1-0 victory over Bendel Insurance in a Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday two encounter at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.

Sam Pam scored the decisive goal 10 minutes after the break.

Nasarawa United started the new season with a 3-1 defeat to Barau FC.

Mangut admitted Bendel Insurance made things difficult for his team but is confident they will get better with more games.

“Yeah, it was a difficult game for us. It was our second game of the season, and I can boldly say we are improving game in, game out,” Mangut told the club’s media.

“We are, however, still very fresh, mixing experience with youthfulness, and I do know we will get better as we progress in this campaign.”

Nasarawa United will be up against defending champions Rangers in their next league game.
