A company is using payroll deductions to punish employees for forgetting their access badges, calling it a lesson in responsibility.

After installing new office turnstiles as a security checkpoint for the company's office, the company began charging an $8 "replacement access fee" whenever an employee forgot their ID badge and had to be issued a temporary one. When pressed on the issue by an employee Hr admitted the policy was implemented to "encourage personal responsibility."
