Those muscles don't grow as fast as they used to

I don't know about you, but I refuse to accept that I'm getting older. I don't even want to think about it, although I can tell I'm paradoxically writing about it right now. That's it; it seems I'm being compelled to elaborate. It's a pointy topic, but I will try.

In many ways, I'm still young; I mean, I'm just about to turn 30, but it's dawning on me that my body isn't the same, and the margin of error for life decisions is getting narrower. Is this just a dated ageist belief, or is it true? Does society look at us differently as we grow old? Can anybody tell somebody who is 28 from somebody who is 31? And what on earth does this have to do with the gym?

Well, my friends, the body gets older too, and we start to perform way worse than we did years ago. Still, as I'm writing this, I literally don't feel anything different inside, so I guess I'm just paranoid about ageing in general, and living it in my mind before it actually happens. This makes no sense, right? I'm reaching that conclusion with you as I write this paragraph, guys, so please bear with me.

I don't know how you feel about the process of ageing, whether you have noticed anything different, or if it's really something that's only in our minds and age is just a number and all that.

At any rate, the only thing we can really do is live in the present moment and deal with our current potential and limitations; thinking about how it used to be or fearing what will come won't help us... Ok Deepak Chopra, it's time to go to the gym and stop being so neurotic about everything.

I'm guessing this type of thought process is why I started going to the gym in the first place, and luckily, it helped! So if you need some extra motivation to hit the gym today, be my guest and enjoy this meme curatorship!
