This 1965 Mercury Montclair is a four-door hardtop that was registered with three members of the seller’s family before she acquired it in 2008. Powered by a 390ci Marauder V8, the car is finished in Carnival Red with a Polar White roof, and it was optioned with a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, a power-adjustable front bench, and Lamay cloth inserts for its red vinyl upholstery. Its brake hydraulics were serviced in 2025, and its carburetor was rebuilt in 2026. This Montclair shows 93k miles, and it is offered at no reserve in Colorado with a clean Nebraska title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The 1965 Montclair four-door hardtop was offered with either a power-operated Breezeway rear window or a conventional notchback roofline, the latter of which was selected for this example. The car was finished at the factory in Carnival Red (J) and Polar White (M), and the seller believes it was repainted when it was owned by her father. A broken antenna is noted.
The 15″ steel wheels are trimmed with deluxe covers, and they are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 thin-whitewall tires. The car rides on coil-sprung suspension at all four corners, and unassisted drums provide braking. The brake master cylinder was replaced in October 2025.
The cabin features biscuit-design red vinyl and cloth, a power-adjustable front bench, and a push-button radio. The seller reports that the climate control is not working, and the upholstery has some holes from rodents.
The steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for amperage, oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles.
When paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car’s 390ci V8 was factory rated at 266 horsepower. The battery was replaced in July 2024, and the air filter was changed in October 2025. In April 2026, the carburetor was rebuilt, and an oil change was completed.
