We’ve been talking about this for some time, and now it’s here: The all-new Kia PV5 is finally in the market. The new electric MPV has just been launched at the 2026 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

The fully electric PV5 comes in different variants, but at launch, it’s only available in its two-seater, long-wheelbase Cargo trim. It gets a sliding door on the right-hand side and 50:50 split barn doors at the back. The cargo area of the vehicle measures 2,255mm long, 1,565mm wide, and 1,520mm tall and can load up to 4,420 liters. Maximum payload is listed at 805kg.

The all-new Kia PV5 is powered by a 161hp, 250Nm electric motor with a 51.5kWh NMC battery and a maximum estimated range of 384km. It has a Type 2 charger and supports AC charging of up to 11kW and DC charging up to 350kW. With the latter, the PV5 can go from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

It’s a proper utilitarian MPV, with only two front seats inside the cabin. It does come with modern creature comforts, including a 7.5-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch infotainment system. It comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a two-speaker setup.

There are two USB-C charging ports inside the cabin, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and plenty of storage spaces and cubbies for the passengers. Advanced driver-assist systems are available, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking. The PV5 also gets parking aids, like the front and rear sensors with a reversing camera.
