Pineapple Financial is taking a large traditional finance data set onto a crypto network. The NYSE-listed mortgage company is moving residential mortgage data onchain, creating structured, verifiable loan-level records on Injective.

The initiative is intended to wrap up the entire mortgage portfolio dating back to the beginning of Pineapple’s existence, not to design a new security based on its mortgage portfolio.

More Than $1 Billion of Mortgage Data Moves Onchain

Pineapple has already migrated mortgage records representing more than $1 billion in value to Injective. Each record remains connected to the underlying mortgage file while creating a digital counterpart that can be inspected and tracked onchain.

Differentiators are important. These tokenized assets are not new mortgage assets, nor direct ownership of the mortgages. Instead, they provide an onchain record of existing mortgage data while the loans continue operating within their existing legal and servicing structures.

Eventually Pineapple will move over 29,000, more than $10 billion, in worth of funded mortgages.

Each Record Carries More Than 500 Data Points

The mortgage information on the token is far more useful than a mere block header timestamp, with over 500 data points.

Information regarding structured loans will provide a uniform source for verification, auditing and portfolio analysis. Authorized participants have access to the records onchain, rather than having to rely on a distinct database, documents and manual reconciliation.

Now, Pineapple has onchain mortgage data for 2,079 loans, up from 1,259 during the program’s launch in December 2025.

PAPL0 Reaches Roughly $1.1 Billion

Pineapple’s mortgage activity is also seen through its onchain representation, known as PAPL0. Currently listed on the token terminal, PAPL0 trades at around $1.1 billion, which is an increase of approximately 48% in the last 9 months.

That is not to be interpreted as $1.1 billion of new mortgage securities issued. The underlying loans are still under Pineapple’s current financial and legal structure, the blockchain is a decentralised digital record and is attached to the portfolio of mortgages.

Pineapple Adds a $100M INJ Treasury

Pineapple’s connections with Injective are just starting to come together. The firm has also created a $100 million INJ digital asset treasury in order to have direct exposure to Injective’s native digital asset. Pineapple stakes INJ in the treasury while Kraken is a leading validator.

The two provide different solutions: the mortgage initiative involves transferring financial data onto Injective, whereas the treasury initiative enables Pineapple to secure a balance-sheet stake in the native asset of the Injective network.

The transaction marks yet another move toward incorporation of wide-ranging monetary information and facts into blockchain’s frameworks for Injective. In addition, if the company achieves its target of $10 billion in historic mortgages in its planned migration, the project could grow significantly in size.
