MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) increased its deployment to 9,821 police officers for security measures during the upcoming Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections. This was up from the 9,435 police officers the PNP previously said it was deploying. In a statement on Wednesday, the PNP said the Police Regional Office (PRO) BARMM deployed 4,361 personnel, while other PROs deployed 2,430.
