This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was purchased by the owner in 2019, and the subsequent Pro Street-style build completed in 2020 involved the installation of a 496ci V8 linked to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a narrowed 9″ rear end with a Detroit locker. The chassis was modified with an adjustable front airbag suspension system, a rear ladder-bar setup with adjustable coilovers, and four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, a roll cage surrounds front bucket seats, and the rear bench has been removed and replaced with a custom rear bulkhead and wheel tubs. The exterior features a cowl hood, Z/28 badging, rear bumper guards, an RS-style grille with hideaway headlamps, and front and rear spoilers, and the polished Weld wheels are wrapped in big-and-little tires. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock dual-quad induction setup, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and a dual exhaust system with coated headers and Flowmaster mufflers. This modified Camaro coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The body was refinished in black with gold stripes during the build. Details include a cowl hood, front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers with rear guards, Z/28 badging, sequential taillights, and an RS-style grille with hideaway headlights.

The car rides on an adjustable AirRide front suspension system along with a rear ladder-bar setup with adjustable coilovers. Polished 15″ Weld wheels are wrapped in 165/80 Nexen front tires and 29×18.5″ Hoosier rear tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl surrounded by a roll cage mounted with retractable shoulder belts. The rear seat has been removed, and a custom rear floor, bulkhead, and wheel tubs have been fabricated and installed. A B&M ratchet-style shifter is mounted on the floor, and the control switch and gauge for the front air suspension are mounted in the ash tray.

The trunk houses the tank and compressor for the front air suspension, and the filler for the fuel tank is mounted in the trunk floor.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a fuel level gauge. An AutoMeter tachometer is mounted atop the dash, and AutoMeter gauges for oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature are mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 285 miles have been added since the build.

The 496ci V8 features Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum cylinder heads, an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold, and dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors. The seller notes a COMP Cams camshaft is installed, and additional equipment includes a Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine accessory drive system along with a Be Cool aluminum radiator accompanied by dual electric fans.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a narrowed 9″ rear end with a Detroit Locker and 3.50:1 gearing. Coated headers feed into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
