The field is set for the 2026 PUBG Mobile World Cup Grand Finals, with just 16 teams remaining in contention for the title and a share of the tournament’s $3.025 million prize pool.

The Survival Stage wrapped up on August 12, giving teams that finished between sixth and 13th during the Group Stage one final opportunity to keep their tournament alive. Tianba took full advantage, topping the standings ahead of AlUla Club and NS RedForce to secure one of the final six places in the Grand Finals.

FURIA also did enough to advance after putting together an impressive 85-point performance despite failing to pick up a single Chicken Dinner across the Survival Stage.

There was no such reprieve for Wolves Esports, however, which narrowly missed qualification. Perhaps more surprisingly, reigning world champion Alpha7 Esports has also been eliminated, meaning there will definitely be a new name lifting the PUBG Mobile World Cup trophy this weekend.

PUBG Mobile World Cup Grand Finals start August 14

The remaining 16 teams will now head into the PMWC Grand Finals, which take place from August 14-16 at Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris as part of the Esports World Cup and I am heading off to Paris tomorrow to go behind the scenes and see what’s really going down with the teams.

A total of 18 matches will be played across the three days before the 2026 PUBG Mobile World Cup champion is crowned.

Things should get particularly interesting on the final day thanks to the return of the tournament’s SMASH Rule, which changes the closing stages from a straightforward points race into something considerably more unpredictable.

Among the teams worth keeping an eye on will be Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2026 winner GodLike Esports, 4Thrives, which has already enjoyed a strong year on the competitive PUBG Mobile circuit, and Group Stage contender Team Vitality.

For now, though, everything comes down to three days and 18 matches in Paris.
