MANILA, Philippines — The northeasterly wind flow, easterlies, and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) are bringing rains to parts of the country on Sunday, the state weather bureau said. In its 5 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeasterly wind flow would affect Batanes, while the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, would prevail over other parts of Luzon. Meanwhile, the ITCZ, where warm winds from the Northern and Southern hemispheres converge, would continue to affect Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
