Reacher recently lost the top-streaming spot on Prime Video. This has prompted a reaction from star Alan Ritchson, who plays the show’s titular character.
Alan Ritchson finds Reacher losing to Neagley ‘bittersweet’Ritchson took to Instagram to comment on Neagley replacing Reacher at the top of Prime Video’s TV charts. Neagley is a spin-off of Reacher, centered on Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley. So, it’s understandable that Ritchson noted Reacher’s displacement from the top spot is “bittersweet.”

“It’s a bittersweet day for me here in Reacherville as I head off to work to shoot Reacher Season 5 in cold, blustery Toronto,” Ritchson said. “Reacher has been dethroned. The top spot taken by our spin-off Neagley,” he continued. The Fast X star added that it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person and congratulated Sten and the rest of the cast.
Ritchson further said, “You know, we share all the same crew, so it’s kinda incestuous. It’s a good thing in a lot of ways, and I guess I just have to work harder.”
As of September 21, Neagley and Reacher hold the top two spots on Prime Video TV and overall charts, according to FlixPatrol. Other entries in the TV list are The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin, Sterling Point, Off Campus, Blue Ridge, The Trial, The Grand Tour, Extinct, and When Calls the Heart. Additionally, You+Me – Against the World, The Runner, and Looking Through Water appear in the overall charts.
Both Reacher and Neagley draw on author Lee Child as a source of inspiration, though the former is a more direct adaptation. Sten made her debut as Neagley in the inaugural season of Reacher and appeared in multiple episodes of the first three seasons. Neagley revolves around the protagonist’s attempt to solve the mystery of her best friend’s death. The show debuted on Prime Video on September 16, 2026.
