Marco Rose has full belief in his Bournemouth side despite their poor start to the Premier League season.

Bournemouth were hammered 5-1 by Chelsea last weekend, as the Cherries' winless start under Rose in the top flight rolled on.

They sit in 18th in the Premier League, with just three points from six games.

Yet Bournemouth have made an excellent start in the Europa League, following up last month's win over Real Sociedad by beating Sturm Graz 3-0 on Thursday.

And Rose has full confidence in his squad.

"I believe in this team and know they are always confident despite a difficult situation," Rose told TNT Sports.

"The squad is working, everyone is keen to play, everyone deserves to play and its good for us for the busy weeks to have a competitive squad.

"If we stick together and play like this and we have our fans then we are hard to play and it's hard to beat us. That's what we should take into the next game."

Bournemouth are the first English team to win their first two matches in major European competition since Bolton Wanderers in the 2005-06 UEFA Cup.

The Cherries have lost just one of their last 14 home games in all competitions (winning five and drawing eight).

Rose's team host Sunderland on Sunday, with the Black Cats having also been involved in Europa League action this week. They beat Torreense 2-1.
