This 1977 Porsche 911S was modified in 2003, including the installation of RSR-style bumpers, steel fender flares, and a fiberglass whale-tail spoiler. Power is supplied by a 3.6-liter VarioRam flat-six mated to a close-ratio G50 five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in blue with Martini-style graphics over a black vinyl and houndstooth cloth interior and is equipped with 17″ Lindsey Racing wheels, Bilstein shocks, a “Big Red” brake kit, a Billy Boat exhaust system, Recaro-style sport seats, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, a Rennline track mat and pedals, and a RetroSound stereo. The car was previously sold on BaT in March 2022 and listed again on BaT in November 2022. This modified 911S is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, in Arizona with service records and a Montana title.
The car underwent a 2003 repaint in Mexico Blue subsequent to the the installation of RSR-style front and rear bumpers, steel wide-body fender flares, and a fiberglass rear spoiler. Martini-style graphics have been added since the last auction, and features include H4 headlamps, 993-spec side mirrors, a power-operated sunroof, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint chips were repaired under previous ownership.
Staggered-width 17″ Lindsey Racing RSR-style wheels are mounted with 235/45 front and 315/35 rear Toyo Proxes R888R tires showing 2021 date codes. Bilstein shocks and replacement rear spring plate covers have been fitted, and braking is provided by a 993-spec “Big Red” disc brake kit with ventilated and cross-drilled rotors all around.
The cabin is furnished with reproduction Recaro sport seats trimmed in black vinyl with houndstooth cloth inserts along with matching rear seats and replacement black carpets. Additional equipment includes a Rennline track mat and pedal set, RS-style door pulls, power windows and door locks, and a RetroSound stereo with Sony speakers. The driver’s seat bolster was repaired in 2021.
A Momo Prototipo steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation consisting of an aftermarket tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline and an inset voltmeter as well as a 150-mph speedometer, supplementary gauges, and a clock. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
A replacement 3.6-liter VarioRam flat-six sourced from a 993 was rebuilt and installed by Eurotech Advanced Automotive of Framingham, Massachusetts, in 2014. A Billy Boat exhaust system has been added along with an oil cooler in the right-front wheel well and a dual horn assembly in the left.
A G50 five-speed manual transaxle was fitted during prior ownership, and an overhaul in 2014 included changing the second through fifth gear ratios, renewing the synchros, installing an aluminum pressure plate, and replacing the clutch disc and flywheel. A 50/80 limited-slip differential was also installed and is equipped with a billet side cover.
