A Tu-95 strategic bomber has crashed during a training flight in the Amur Region in the Russian East, killing six crew members and injuring another, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry.
The injured crew member was evacuated to a medical facility, the ministry said.
The aircraft was unarmed and crashed in an uninhabited area, the MOD added.
A Russian Aerospace Forces commission has been sent to the site to investigate the cause of the crash.
