Baltersan Castle, built in 1584 near Maybole, Ayrshire, is now available on the market for £120,000. This castle, which is roofless and Category A-listed, occupies 0.75 acres of land. Notable figures like Charles Rennie Mackintosh and poets Robert Burns and John Keats have been linked to the property. Although the building retains much of its original structure, planning consent for restoration has expired.
