Shocked Katie Britt, also known as the Katie Britt Face Meme or Katie Britt Jack Smith Hearing Reaction, refers to a viral video and reaction GIF of Alabama Senator Katie Britt reacting to Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with former special counsel Jack Smith in late September 2026. In the clip, Britt is seen staring as if in shock as the camera slowly zooms in on her, with an open-mouthed expression on her face that many perceived as embarrassment.
Following the clip's virality, Britt's shocked-looking reaction spread on social media as a meme, with users editing the clip and adding humorous music like the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme, as well as using the video as a simple reaction meme with captions about being shocked or embarrassed by something. The moment also garnered significant media coverage following the hearing.
