Oh no! If it's the consequences of our own actions! Or maybe it's the consequences of profoundly life-altering technological revolutions.

We all know it: screens are making our attention spans shorter and making us dumber in general. Given the chance, our brains prefer putting in less effort into almost anything. And that's the main issue: We're now being given the chance, so it will be incredibly hard to resist, as we are 'biologically wired' to prefer saving energy resources.

ChatGPT and all AIs really are creeping up on our education systems, our health systems, our marketing strategies, our designs, our films, our anything. We can't stop AI; after all, it is a wonderful invention created by humans, but after all this that's happening, I think we should fight really hard to 'put it in its place'.

Handmade and human-thought things are now becoming a luxury; human contact is also becoming one; having a long attention span is becoming one, and all those things will soon be markers of discipline and excellence; but it would be beautiful if literacy, ideas, and attention were not only for the chosen few, and we collectively found a way to protect everyone (especially children) from the dependence AI creates.

Plus, we all have to remember something: AIs are condescending, and sometimes they invent facts or hallucinate; we cannot fully rely on them yet.

Haven't all great ideas come from creative human minds? Is that time completely over?
