I really like when this happens. I don't know why, but it feels like a great way to start the season — a "Welcome to the Premier League" kind of thing.
Liverpool v Leeds in 2020 was incredible.
It doesn't happen often, but it's happened more frequently in the past few years. There's something cool about the reigning Premier League champions facing the Championship winners in their first game after promotion.
And for the promoted side, you get the final boss out of the way immediately.
