[Spoilers ahead] For me, without question, it's The Sinner. In the fourth and final season, Bill Pullman's protagonist Harry Ambrose (a detective who gets too emotionally involved with his cases) is investigating a suicide. Long story short, the final scene of the series finds him (after a series of unfortunate events) kneeling on the same cliff that the victim had jumped from, looking outward, heavily suggesting that he over-identified with her and was at least considering doing the same. The Sinner was cancelled after this season, adding to the ambiguity. I think of this scene often, and wonder: Did he? It's devastating... Pullman's performance was incredible here. Anyway, what do you got?
