Saturday is finally here, which means it's time to cancel your plans, find the comfiest spot in the house, and take some serious sleeping advice from the cats.

Nobody knows how to snooze quite like a feline. Cats can fall asleep pretty much anywhere, and apparently comfort is completely optional. Give them a soft bed specifically purchased for their naps and they'll ignore it in favor of sleeping upside down with their head hanging off the couch.

Then come the positions that make you wonder whether cats actually have bones. Legs are sticking in opposite directions, paws are folded underneath bodies, and heads are twisted at angles that would send any hooman straight to the chiropractor. Somehow, they wake up completely refreshed while we hurt our necks because we used the wrong pillow.

Saturday is the purrfect day to embrace that feline approach to life. There are no alarms to worry about, nowhere important to be, and absolutely no reason you can't spend an extra few hours curled up under the blankets. Your cat certainly isn't going to judge you. They've probably already squeezed in three naps before you even considered getting out of bed.

Of course, kitties aren't particularly concerned with keeping their weekend snoozing to the bedroom. A sink works. So does a cardboard box, the back of the couch, a windowsill, or one tiny corner of a giant mattress. If they can somehow fold themselves onto it, it counts as a bed.

We may never understand how these positions qualify as comfortable, but cats clearly know something about relaxation that we don't.

So clear your schedule, fluff your pillows, and follow the feline example.

Saturday is for snoozing, and these sleepy cattos are taking that responsibility very seriously.
