A family in Mumbai has preserved the body of their deceased member for four years. The family spent over Rs 50 lakh in their efforts and explored cryonics for potential revival. After the family member's death from cancer and kidney failure, they were unable to perform last rites. Initially kept at home, the body was later moved to a polyclinic during redevelopment.
