Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened within seven days if the United States accepts Tehran’s proposed roadmap. Speaking in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly, Araghchi said Washington would need to take certain steps within four to five days, allowing the strategic waterway to reopen on the sixth day. He said talks on a final agreement with the U.S. would begin on the seventh day.
