The Jacksonville Jaguars dropped a tough one, losing on a last-second field goal to the Houston Texans in Week 6 by a score of 34-31.

As we continue to look back at Sunday's performance, here are the Jaguars' studs and duds from this game.

Stud: CB/WR Travis Hunter

In this game, Hunter made the two-way impact that everyone had envisioned when he was selected at No. 2 overall in the 2025 NFL draft. On offense, he caught a 26-yard pass and then a 7-yard touchdown a few plays later. Then, on the ensuing Houston drive, Hunter came away with an interception in the end zone. He continued to shoulder a full workload on defense in this game, but Liam Coen made a concerted effort to get him involved on offense.

Dud: Jaguars' defense

We haven't seen the Jaguars' defense in the dud category this season, but on Sunday, this unit struggled to stop the Houston offense. The Texans' run game eclipsed 100 yards at 4.6 yards per attempt. CJ Stroud and the passing game generated explosive plays as well. Jacksonville was also unable to sack Stroud and hit him just three times. Houston totaled over 400 yards of offense at an impressive 7.2 yards per play, with the Jacksonville defense unable to come up with a late stop.

Stud: Jaguars' running backs

Both Chris Rodriguez and Bhayshul Tuten were effective in this game. The duo rushed for 94 yards on 23 carries, which included Rodriguez averaging 5.0 yards per attempt. Tuten was also active in the passing game with four receptions for 48 yards and two scores. When this position group is rolling, the Liam Coen offense is likely going to be operating at a high level.

Dud: Brian Thomas Jr.'s playing time

In Sunday's Week 6 loss to the Houston Texans, Thomas Jr. played only 15 snaps, according to ESPN, all of which came in the first half. He did not see the field in the third or fourth quarters. He finished the contest with two targets, no receptions, and a dropped pass. While this was the fewest number of snaps that Thomas Jr. has played, his decreasing role on offense is a growing trend in recent weeks.

Stud: The Jaguars' group of pass catchers

Thomas Jr. may not have been involved, but just about everyone else was. Five different Jaguars' pass catchers had at least four receptions, and all of those players had over 40 receiving yards. This group also generated explosive plays, with each player recording a reception of 20-plus yards. From a passing game perspective, this is exactly how the Coen offense wants to operate.
