Peel Regional Police are looking for a male suspect wanted for a stabbing and several attempted carjackings in Brampton on Sunday night near Clockwork Dr. and Creditview Rd. in Brampton.

Cops said that at about 10 p.m., a male suspect armed with a knife attempted to carjack four separate vehicles and during one attempt fought with an owner, an adult male, who was stabbed and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect then attempted to carjack three additional vehicles in the area without success before fleeing on foot.

He is a South Asian male, 25 to 30 years old, with a slim build and a possible tattoo on his neck.

At the time, he was wearing a grey sweater, light-coloured pants, black Crocs, a blue and white Toronto Blue Jays baseball hat and a black messenger-style bag over his shoulder.

Police said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not to approach him if seen and call 911 immediately.

WOMAN CHARGED AFTER MISSISSAUGA STABBING

A 42-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing on Sunday night at about 5:30 p.m. outside a Mississauga shelter on Dundas St. E.

Officers initially arrested a man who was involved in a fight with the victim, an adult male who suffered a serious stab wound to the neck and was taken to a hospital, where he remained in critical condition.

As the investigation progressed, Peel Regional Police determined that the man was not responsible for the stabbing and he was subsequently released. An adult female was identified as the stabbing suspect, but she had fled the area on foot before police arrived.

Lorena Sanchez, of Mississauga, was arrested on Monday and charged.
